Application Checklist: Graduate Degrees
Apply by May 15. Scholarships and funding are available for a September start.
Use the checklist below to successfully apply to a Daniels College of Business graduate-level
programs (MBA, IMBA, EMBA, PMBA, master's degrees and XRECM). View application deadlines.
- Completed application: While it is desirable to submit your application form after you have acquired and submitted the information listed below, doing so is NOT required. Go to the application form.
- $100 nonrefundable application fee: To be paid when the application is submitted.
- Official transcript: Submit one official transcript from each higher-education institution you attended in officially sealed envelopes. Documents that arrive in opened envelopes will not be considered official. Learn more about international student requirements. Please send official transcripts to the Graduate Admissions Office, Daniels College of Business, University of Denver, 2101 S University Blvd., Suite 255, Denver, CO 80208-8921.
- GMAT or GRE scores: The GMAT or GRE is required for admissions consideration for all programs except the Executive MBA, Executive Real Estate and Construction Management, and graduate business certificates. Please note that applicants who wish to be considered for merit-based scholarships or graduate assistantships must take the GMAT. To have your GMAT or GRE scores reported to Daniels, please use the following codes: GMAT code is MZR-GT-43 (this code works to have your GMAT scores reported to all of our graduate business programs). Our GRE code is 4842.
- Two letters of recommendation: Submitted by individuals (nonrelatives) who can evaluate your academic and/or work performance, as well as your potential for success in graduate school. Provide the email addresses of your recommenders where requested in your program application. They will receive an e-mail from Daniels with instructions on how to submit the completed recommendation form online. If you prefer to contact your recommenders directly, you may download the letter of recommendation form for ALL graduate programs (MBA, IMBA, EMBA, PMBA and specialized master's degrees) and have them send the completed form to Daniels@du.edu.
- Professional resume: Submit a resume that focuses on your unique strengths and accomplishments.
- TOEFL OR IELTS results, if required: An official score report for the TOEFL or IELTS must be submitted by any applicant whose native language is not English. To have your TOEFL score reported to Daniels, please provide the following code: 4842, Department: 02. Learn more about language requirements.
- Verification of Financial Support and Visa Information Form (international students only): International students must apply for a student visa and provide proof of financial support. These financial verification materials are not required for admission decision consideration. They are however required if an international applicant is admitted into the program in order to issue an I-20. Learn more about visa requirements.
- Admissions Interview: Interviews are required for Executive MBA and Professional MBA applicants and those who wish are selected to be considered for merit-based scholarships and graduate assistantships. You will be contacted to schedule an interview after your complete application is received.
