Undergraduate Financial Aid

Financing options for undergraduates are handled by the University of Denver's (DU) Office of Financial Aid. Some quick facts about undergraduate financial assistance:

  • 77% of DU students receive some form of financial assistance
  • 43% of students receive some form of need-based aid
  • The middle 50% range of need-based awards for first-year students is: $10,673 - $26,502. Eligibility for need-based awards is determined by FAFSA and CSS PROFILE applications.

Types of aid available to undergraduates include:

  • Academic Grants & Scholarships: Merit-based scholarships awarded to students of exceptional talent and academic ability.
  • Financial Aid: Need-based awards that may include a mix of federal, state and institutional grants and loans.
  • Student Employment: There are numerous work-study and non-work-study positions available.
  • Scholarships from Daniels: Some departments and schools at Daniels also award merit and/or need-based scholarships to both graduate and undergraduate students. To inquire about these scholarships, students should contact the individual school or department related to their major. There are also general scholarships at Daniels for students who are studying any area of business.
