The Daniels International MBA

IMBA

The world is your classroom.

At the Daniels College of Business, we understand that all business is international, so we offer several opportunities for students to acquire international academic and work experience.

Global Theory in Practice

This required overseas experience gives you an opportunity to understand global business practice in the context of field locations and hands-on project work and organization management. The trip involves a 10-to 14-day visit to an emerging market location with team-based consulting projects, visits to local and multinational organizations and experiential activities. This course involves three major components: a five week pre-course addressing cross-cultural management and pre-trip preparation, the in-country experience, and a post-trip final report and debrief.

Global ProgramsMore International Opportunities

Global Opportunity (GO) MBA Program

The Global Opportunity (GO) program at Daniels immerses graduate students in a foreign culture while studying sustainable development issues. By collaborating on real-world projects for an actual organization, you gain invaluable insight into the community you're helping and the complexity of sustainable development.
The GO Program fulfills the full-time MBA Enterprise Solutions requirement.

Deutsche Bank Microfinance Class

The Daniels College of Business is the exclusive educational partner of Deutsche Bank's Global Commercial Microfinance Consortium which includes an $80 million microfinance fund. During this two-course sequence you will interact with Deutsche Bank managers overseeing the fund, perform due diligence for loan requests from international microfinance institutions, and visit a microfinance institution in a developing country.

Study Abroad

You'll have the option of intensifying your international experience by spending as much as a quarter abroad through the University of Denver's study abroad program.

International Electives

Every year, Daniels departments and schools offer electives that provide in-depth study of international issues and travel for firsthand experience. Visit the Departments, Schools & Centers section for more information.
