Biography At-a-Glance

Paul Bauer is a clinical professor of information technology and electronic commerce for the Daniels College of Business. After receiving his Ph.D. in solid state physics and post-doctoral work in physical chemistry at the University of Kansas, Dr. Bauer entered the telecommunications industry, serving in leadership positions with Bell Laboratories, Bell Communications Research, US West Advanced Technologies, 3Com Corporation, and Netbeam, Inc. He joined the University faculty in 2001. 

When working with the media, Bauer is able to address issues from both an academic and practical perspective, drawing on extensive corporate experience to provide real-world examples of the topics he discusses.
