Biography At-a-Glance
Maclyn Clouse is currently the Sorensen Distinguished Professor of Finance at the Daniels College of Business. After receiving his Ph.D. in finance from the University of Washington in 1978, he was named an assistant professor of finance at the University of Denver. He was named an associate professor in 1982 and a professor in 1994. Professor Clouse was director of the University's Small Business Administration Small Business Institute from 1990-1995, and he chaired the Reiman School of Finance from 1999-2007.
Professor Clouse has extensive media expertise and has been quoted by local, regional and national press, including ABC's World News. He is particularly adept at explaining complex financial situations in lay terms and in presenting explanations that help readers and viewers understand the various ways changes in the local or national economy will affect their day-to-day lives.
