Biography At-a-Glance
Tom Dowd is Senior Director of Globalization at the Daniels College of Business, joining the College in 2009. His other administrative
experience includes the University of Virginia and the University of Notre Dame. He served as Senior Director of Program Development
- international and national - for the University of Virginia School of Continuing and Professional Studies and worked on
international initiatives for the President of the university. At the University of Notre Dame he developed international
programs for the Mendoza College of Business Executive Education and for the Dean and was an international program faculty.
He has extensive experience working with the University of Oxford (UK) and in France, China, Israel, and the West Bank. He
is a member of the American Bar Association, the Iowa State Bar Association, and co-founder of the Virginia Festival of the
Book.

Also led professional development trips for executive MBA students and interdisciplinary university faculty to Israel and China for the Mendoza College of Business
