Patrick Hamill founded Oakwood Homes, LLC, in 1991 and serves as president and CEO. Since then, Oakwood has differentiated itself as the top builder in the Denver market and the largest privately held builder in Colorado, with more than 8,000 satisfied Oakwood households.

Mr. Hamill co-founded the Foundation for Educational Excellence and the 21st Century High-Tech Academy in the Green Valley Ranch/Montbello area of Denver. The academy serves youth in the area, providing a state-of-the-art curriculum and technology-enhanced instruction to high-performing students. 

Mr. Hamill serves on the board of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Metro Denver and helped create Home for Good, a program in which Oakwood builds homes and then donates them to the clubs. The project raised $700,000 in 1995 and $900,000 in 2005. Mr. Hamill is a trustee of the University of Denver, vice chairman of the Metro Football Stadium District and chairman of the Colorado Open Golf Foundation. In 1999, he received the Professional Achievement Award from the University of Denver. In 2004, he was chosen as the "honorary dean" of the Franklin L. Burns School of Real Estate and Construction Management at Daniels.

Mr. Hamill holds a BSBA from the University of Denver, Daniels College of Business.
