Biography At-a-Glance
Robert McGowan is a professor of management for the Daniels College of Business. After receiving his Ph.D. from Syracuse University
in 1980, he was named assistant professor for Pennsylvania State University's Institute of Public Administration. He was
named assistant professor for the Daniels College graduate program in 1983, associate professor in 1985, and professor in
1995. He has also served as visiting professor of management at National Yunlin University of Science and Technology in Taiwan.
When working with the media, McGowan is able to discuss the future of the business economy. He provides context for discussions of mergers and acquisitions, industry-specific issues, and economic development in the Denver-metro area. Additionally, his experience in China and in developing countries enables him to speak about economics in the developing world.
