Where are you from and what were you doing before you came to Daniels?

I am from Wilkesboro, NC.  Before coming to Daniels, I was a law student for two years.  Now, I am full time at Daniels and part time at Sturm College of Law.  

Extracurricular activities that you are involved with:

At Sturm College of Law, I am a member of the Business Law Society and Women in Law.  Additionally, I am a student ambassador for the law school and serve on the Board of the Denver University Law Review as the Business Editor.  At Daniels, I am a student ambassador and a member of Daniels Graduate Women in Business.  

What brought you to Daniels?

As I mentioned I am a dual degree student.  After completing my first year of law school, I quickly learned the importance of diversifying myself and gaining as much education and experience I could while at DU.   The dual degree program is great because you receive your JD and MBA in four years as opposed to 5 years if you completed each program separately.  Additionally, I knew coming into law school that I wanted to take the “road less traveled” and a MBA is a great way to accomplish that!

A little about your experience at Daniels thus far:

Daniels has been great!  I have had a positive experience with the faculty, students, and administration.  The coursework is tough but manageable with dedication and hard work.
