Biography At-a-Glance
As dean of the Daniels College of Business at the University of Denver, Chris Riordan leads a business operation of over $80 million and a global network of over 33,000 faculty, staff, students and alumni. Since Dean Riordan assumed the leadership role, Daniels has been ranked among the top business schools in the world by BusinessWeek, U.S. News & World Report, Beyond Grey Pinstripes and the Financial Times. The College is in the top 15 percent of undergraduate programs and the top 5 percent of graduate programs among the approximately 590 business schools accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) - International. In her role, she is also a rarity among AACSB schools, with only 17 percent headed by a female dean. From 2005-2008, Dr. Riordan was the Associate Dean for External Relations at TCU where she guided marketing, public relations, corporate relations and alumni relations, and oversaw the Tandy Center for Executive Leadership. She was the Luther Henderson University Chair in Leadership and a Professor of Management.

Dean Riordan has a national reputation as a leadership development and workplace diversity expert. Her research focuses on labor-force diversity issues, human resources, workplace issues, leadership development, leadership effectiveness and career success. Dr. Riordan consults regularly with corporations on strategic planning, leadership-development activities, diversity management and team performance. She also serves as an executive leadership coach for senior-level executives. And, she has served as an executive consultant for State Farm Insurance Companies for over ten years.
