Race & Case 2008: Rules, Scoring & Information

Team Requirements

• Each mix-gender team consists of 4-6 students with at least 2 women, 2 men, and 1 international student
• At least 4 team members present during the case competition, although all team members may participate in the Q&A that follows
• At least 4 and up to 6 team members participate in the ski competition, including at least 2 men and 2 women
• Each team member must participate in at least the case or the race competition

Case Competition Highlights*

• Focuses on managerial ethics in a corporate environment
• Delivered to teams 3 weeks prior to competition date
• Presentation length will not exceed 20 minutes (time limit will be strictly enforced)
• Presentation is followed by 10 minutes of Q&A (time limit will be strictly enforced) 

Ski Competition Highlights*

• Held on official NASTAR course
• Team ski score is combined time total of 2 fastest women and 2 fastest men
• Each participant may ski a maximum of 3 runs
• Any team not comprised of at least 2 females and 2 males must accept a time of 50 seconds for each missing member
