Department of Marketing
The world is your classroom.
We understand that all business is international, so we offer several opportunities for students to acquire international experience.
Global Opportunity (GO) Program
The Global Opportunity (GO) program at Daniels immerses graduate students in a foreign culture while studying in-depth sustainable development issues. By collaborating on real-world projects for an actual organization, you gain invaluable insight into the community you're helping and the complexity of sustainable development.
Marketing International Electives
Department of Marketing faculty teaches several internationally focused courses for both undergraduate and graduate-level students including:
MKTG 3630/MKTG 4630: International Marketing: This course sensitizes students to economic, political, social and cultural differences among nations as they influence marketing. It includes the opportunity for students to work on an international marketing plan that can be shown to prospective employers.
International Experiences for Undergraduates
Undergraduate business students must be prepared to interact with persons from other cultures and to manage in circumstances where business practices and social conventions are different from the graduate's native country. To meet this requirement, all business majors must fulfill an international experience before they can graduate as a business major. International students meet this requirement by virtue of studying at DU.
Students may meet the international experience requirement through at least one of the following ways:
- Participate in the Cherrington Global Scholars Program.
- Take an approved international experience course like the ones listed above or those listed on the BSBA marketing degree plan.
